Microblading is a manual brow tattoo. Using a fine hand blade, we draw individual strokes into the skin that mimic real hair, building fuller, defined brows that still read as your own.
It suits normal to dry skin and clients who want believable definition rather than a block of colour. We map the shape to your features first, then draw stroke by stroke until both brows sit in balance.
Why clients choose it
- Hand-drawn strokes that mimic natural brow hair
- Bespoke shape mapped to your bone structure
- Best suited to normal and dry skin types
- Fills gaps and reshapes sparse or over-plucked brows
- Lasts roughly 1 – 2 years before a touch-up
What to expect, step by step
Consultation & mapping
We agree the shape, measure against your features and draw the outline for your approval before any pigment.
Numbing
A topical anaesthetic is applied so the session stays comfortable.
First pass
Strokes are drawn by hand following your natural hair direction to build a realistic base.
Second pass & refine
We add density where needed and balance both brows before you leave.
Aftercare
The healed result depends as much on aftercare as on the appointment. Follow these and your results will settle beautifully.
- 01Keep the area dry for the first 7 days
- 02Do not pick or scratch as the strokes heal and flake
- 03Apply the supplied balm sparingly, morning and night
- 04Avoid sun, saunas and heavy sweating for two weeks
- 05Book a touch-up at 6 – 8 weeks to settle colour (from $100 – $450)
Frequently asked
- How is microblading different from nanoblading?
- Microblading uses a hand blade; nanoblading uses a fine digital needle. Blade work has a natural, tactile feel and suits drier skin, while nanoblading heals crisper on oily or mature skin. We recommend the right one at your consultation.
- How long does microblading last?
- One to two years for most clients, depending on skin type and lifestyle. A touch-up refreshes the colour and shape.
- Does it hurt?
- With topical numbing most clients feel only light scratching. We numb throughout the session.
