Microblading is a new tattooing technique and form of permanent makeup in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin.

Before the treatment:
– Refrain from alcohol, coffee, aspirin, fish oil, niacin, vitamin E, and ibuprofen 24 hours prior to your appointment, unless medically necessary.
– Do not tint, wax, and thread your brows one week prior to your appointment.
– Botax: waiting time is approximately 6 weeks.

 After the treatment:
– 30 minutes after you leave your appointment please clean your brows with a cotton pad and sterilized or bottled water. Then apply a very thin layer of the ointment given to you. Repeat this process every 2 hours for the first two days while awake. Starting the third day apply the ointment 2 times a day for 5 days.
– Do not get your brows wet for the first 7 days.
– Do not be in direct sunlight for 2 weeks.
– Do not exercise for the first 7 days.
– Do not wear makeup on brows area for the first 7 days.

What to expect after treatment:
Day1: you may experience some swelling in the area which typically resolves soon after treatment. The color will appear up to 50% darker and more intense in color.
Day2-3: the color will begin to darken temporarily as the pigment oxidizes and light scabs form. You may experience itching as the skin starts to heal itself. Do not pick or scratch the area as this will impact pigment retention.
Day 4-7: Do not pick at any scabs. Allow healing to shed naturally. At this time, it will appear that your permanent makeup nearly disappeared. This is only temporary as the new skin is still healing. Over the next several weeks your brows will reappear.
Day 8-30: Towards the end of your healing you will notice the permanent makeup reappearing. They will heal approximately 30% lighter than day 1.
Day 40-60: It’s time for your perfection visit! At this time your permanent makeup is fully healed and it’s recommended that you come back in to reinforce anything that might have healed lighter than desired.
